Do your kids spend too much time with electronics?

Does this sound like your family?
The average 8-18 year old spends 7.5 hours in front of some type electronic device whether it is a TV, computer, cell phone, or Ipad. I have a 4 year old and it is tough to get him away from his electronics. For my wife and I we have found success not mentioning them or turning on the TV until after we eat dinner. We also have the advantage of having our own gym where we can turn our son Lincoln loose to run, jump and climb on everything for endless hours.

Physical activity and movement our KEY for all of us. All parents know our kids watch us like hawks and we set the example for them. Kids need to play, it is recommended they receive 60 minutes of vigorous activity daily. Where do you fall in line with that?

Did you know CFSS has a program for 8-12 year olds? We meet Tuesday / Thursdays 5:15- 6pm.

Kids sit all day at school and come home and do more of the same. This is not just for kids who participate in sports, this is for kids to get up off the couch, put down the phone and get more active.

We run, jump, play, learn about nutrition and help give kids a foundation to live a healthy life. Physical activity is helps your child build confidence, healthy habits, value of hard work, amongst a ton of other positive benefits.
